We are nearing the 50-year milestone, and wanting to take stock<\/strong>, we can only be satisfied with the challenges we have been able to face and the milestones we have achieved. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

We have always been rather shy and avoided any form of self-celebration, but allow us to digress from this rule in order to share with you the summary of this July 13 article, published in the “Lives of Business”<\/strong> special issue of Cremona’s “La Provincia” newspaper, produced by the Industrial Association.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

In the interview, Renato Alzani<\/strong><\/em>, CEO of Imbalplast, tells the story of the company from its origins to today:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

“Around the 1970s the production of packaging for the hygienic-sanitary sector began, identifying a line of growth that continued to be absolutely strategic. Above all, however, this was the moment when the need to invest in the most advanced technologies and machines <\/strong>became strongly established in order to better satisfy customers who were proving to be increasingly attentive and demanding. (…) The research and development department, which over time has exerted an increasingly nodal role by placing itself upstream of the production process, continually comes up with creative and innovative projects. <\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Over time, the packaging range<\/strong> has been expanded and now includes diapers, bed sleepers, sanitary napkins, makeup remover pads, industrial bags, generic and printed bags, and shrink film. Technological advances in the manufacturing process ensure up to five-layer extrusion, flexo printing, sealing machine packaging, and the ability to imprint up to ten colors. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

There are many strengths<\/strong> of Imbalplast, but one in particular is the company’s flagship, as Alzani<\/strong><\/em> explains:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

“Our strength originates from our ability to act with great timing<\/strong> and professionalism<\/strong> in response to our customers’ requests, which can vary completely depending on the product lines. These are differences that affect both size and graphics. Together with our partners, we assess feasibility and specifications to accommodate them as much as possible. It is a relationship based on dialogue<\/strong>. Speed is ensured by the advantage of housing all departments and production cycles, including the research and development area, in one place<\/strong>. Everything becomes faster and more dynamic. Even very short and complex timelines can be met in this way. <\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Finally, Alzani<\/em><\/strong> dwells on a topic that is close to his heart and concerns a concrete policy of sustainability<\/strong> on both the environmental and social fronts. From this sensitivity come the decisions to produce certified recycled polythene and bioplastics, to become a benefit company, and a long list of initiatives and investments because : “We know that we have received a great deal from the area,” Renato concludes, “and we feel that a work of restitution is in order.<\/strong> Most of our employees reside in Soncino or in neighboring municipalities, and not infrequently we are used to hiring the children of our technicians and workers when they conclude their course of employment and are close to retirement. The bond with our employees is at least as firm and tenacious as the bond that binds us to our land.” <\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n
