On 3rd November 2024, the fourth edition of the exhibition called ARTEDESIGNIMPRESA<\/strong> – https:\/\/artidesignimpresa.it\/<\/a> – ended; it was organised by the city of Soncino<\/strong>, in cooperation with the Universit\u00e0 Cattolica del Sacro Cuore of Milan<\/strong>, with the sponsorship of Lombardy Region as well. This event is the completion to a path that began in 2021 with the aim of creating a bond between art and enterprises, between young artists and local industries. This year as well, the exhibition \u2013 which took place in the former spinning mill of Soncino \u2013 had a great success and a large number of visitors.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Ever since the first exhibition, Imbalplast has joined the event with enthusiasm, always being convinced that every object can be a valuable work of art. We should then make room for new artists and to their abilities to communicate through matters<\/strong>. We gave to these young artists all the necessary information and details about our products; we also supported them while interpreting common packaging through a work of art. <\/p>\n\n\n

The most demanding one was a light installation called \u201cOltre l\u2019involucro<\/strong>\u201d<\/em> (i.e.<\/em> \u201cbeyond the packaging\u201d); it dates back to a few years ago and it measures 2,5x2x5 with a total height of 6 metres. It was realised with bags for make-up pads that, instead of being disposed of, were stored and transformed into a bow with their strings. It truly is a beautiful, sustainable, and original work; today, it is still exposed in our plant (see photo).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This year, instead, the subtitle to the exhibition was \u201cExtra<\/em><\/strong>\u201d and, experimenting with A.I., artists developed linguistic-graphic works and conceptual geometries <\/strong>to create new levels of meaning. That is when our LDPE bags were transformed into \u201c<\/em>Cura, L\u2019eroe che avvolge\u201d<\/em> (i.e.<\/em> \u201cCare: the hugging hero\u201d)<\/strong>, taking the role of a character connected to social activities, relationships and affections \u2013 something that we need more and more in a moment like this. This is such a positive and emotional message.<\/p>\n\n\n

We are now reporting the full motivation behind this work: \u201cin a fast-moving society, where time slips like sand through fingers, Cura is the hugging-hero, shedding light and conveying the calm and tranquillity we always need. With its kind gestures away from clamour, it lightly touches, hugs, protects, and becomes a balm for deep connections and empathy towards ourselves and other people. It is a timeless hero, a hope guardian; with its sweet presence, it teaches us that strength is inside being close and giving yourself to others, in a silent hug<\/em>\u201d.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Finally, we really want to compliment the two artists, Chiara Melloni<\/em><\/strong> and Francesca Piscitelli<\/em><\/strong>, wishing them both a future of hope, beauty, and art.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
