La sostenibilità guida il nostro stile di business

WHY SO MANY CERTIFICATIONS?

As of today, Imbalplast has achieved seven certifications so far. If we deem it appropriate, then there will be more to come, as they are a concrete proof that we operate with a quality system, in order to optimise processes, services and products.

Every certification requires a complex and demanding path and it is often necessary not only to intervene on production processes, but also on organisational strategies and employed technologies – not to mention the recurring controls by accrediting bodies. In this sense, it is not easy and every choice dealing with that implies that we have to dedicate our time and resources. However, we think that it is worth it. As a matter of fact, in addition to law conformity, it enhances our reputation – and this is something primary and fundamental for us.

The following ones are the synthetic features of our certifications, suitable for the production and selling of low-density polyethylene, with flexo printing techniques and welded products.

  • ISO 9001: it is a globally recognised standard for quality management and it certifies that the entire management system of a company is efficient and effective.
  • ISO 14001: it is a globally recognised standard certifying that a company adopts a suitable environmental management system, being sustainable and in compliance with the law.
  • CSI[1]: it certifies that the packaging is produced with recycled polyethylene – with a minimum percentage of 30% deriving from PIR (i.e. Post Industrial Recyclate) – for clothing, shipment, e-commerce, and diapers sectors.
  • IPPR[2] PLASTIC SECOND LIFEMIX ECO: it certifies that bags and films are produced with a percentage of 31% deriving from plastic waste of separate collection and Industrial Recyclate origins.
  • IPPR PLASTIC SECOND LIFEPOST CONSUMPTION: it certifies that bags and films are produced with a percentage of 61% deriving from plastic waste of separate collection origin or from other post-consumption chains.
  • IPPR PLASTIC SECOND LIFE POST INDUSTRIAL: it certifies that bags and films are produced with a percentage of 61% deriving from plastic waste of industrial origin.
  • BOLLINO ETICO SOCIALE[3]: it is a method adopted for the development and enhancement of social innovation oriented and positive actions.

One can observe that some of these certifications deal with management system, while some others deal with our orientation towards sustainability. Indeed, working with plastics, we truly want to preserve sustainability in every way – starting from the employment of recyclable materials, getting to waste disposal, renewable energy, and, as a consequence, to certifications.
